A selection of lamp shades that have a fitting that sits directly on a candle shaped bulb only – usually used on a wall light or very small lamp base.  The carefully sewn box pleat lamp shades consist of a loose pleated outer cover which sits over a plain inner empire shape lamp shade and are very popular now, emitting a soft glow.  Also available are empire shaped lamp shades giving a cleaner, neater silhouette, made with modern printed paper and bias trim.
